Maybe the place was changed, maybe the staff turned over.... but I don't get the terrible reviews. From a quality point of view, I brought my car in for a mid-tier wash and got exactly that, plus a bit more elbow grease than expected. Most of the other cars coming through while I was there opted for the lowest level; if you want fast & fairly cheap, by all means, but you get what you pay for with those and moving just a couple bucks up makes you stand out to the people working too. From a facility standpoint, this is one of the nicest car wash buildings I've seen which, while not important to the service, is a nice perk. Of course it's one that factors into the cost too. It's not award winning, I wouldn't run to get a monthly package and drive back up there weekly but I'd gladly come back if I was in the area.

I had them fix my truck during Thanksgiving week of last year and the had it done even before you know it and they even wash it too. Customer Service was great and reasonable prices.

Everyone on here complaining about this place needs to tell me about the magical place THEY take their cars to cause no car wash place is perfect. Granted I didn't give it 5 stars but that's cause it's not perfect but way better than other places, especially Papa Johns on Paramount Blvd in Downey.

I love going to Downey Hand Car Wash. It's so affordable for me. I got the $6 economy wash. What a great deal! The lounge is so comfortable with plenty of goodies to snack on while you wait. Im always so impressed with how nice and professional the customer service is. I also love the mechanics there. They have great guys who explain everything really good to you !!

The best carwash in town for the money. I baby my car and I wouldn't trust anyone else with it. The cashier is a cutie and has a great attitude

I'm really happy with this local car wash. I like that it's right next to an Arco (my gas station of choice since I started driving) and easily accessible. It's the usual car wash layout where you drive up, tell one of the attendants which car wash you want, then go inside and pay. They have an economy wash for $6 which is a basic car wash, no frills, just a wash. It's good to do in between the deluxe monthly washes I like to give my car. I think the basic wash is about $14 or so and then they increase in detail and price. They also have a list of other services like waxing and interior detailing. Restrooms are available inside. There's also a small mini market with lots of drinks, snacks, auto supplies, and more. The girls at the cashier counter are always polite and helpful. There's a little lounge area with four massage chairs that give a great 5 minute massage for $1. The outdoor patio is really nice with benches in the shade while you watch your car get detailed. I've always liked the job they do with my car and they're so fast! I've been to other car washes where they're fast and do a poor job. Oh, there's also a stamp card (every car wash you get a stamp). Getting the car washed is a necessary chore and this place makes it more comfortable!

Good job, nothing special

I have been going here since the day they opened and they have always done exceptional work. Never has there been a time that something was missed. Always spotless! The cashiers/staff/management have have always been super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Thanks Downey Hand Carwash!

I had my mother's old Camry detailed for her today. WOW, what a difference! The car looks new! The guys at Downey Car Wash did a great job. My Mom was so happy!
